Contest FAQ

  • Easy peasy! Here’s the breakdown:

    1. Register - Pay the $25 fee

    2. Get the contest theme - Once the contest starts you get an email with the secret theme, contest details, and the link to our private Facebook group – that's where the community magic happens

    3. Write Your Killer Set - You've got two weeks to craft a brand-new, killer 60-second(ish!) clean set based on the theme.

    4. Submit Your Masterpiece - Time's up! Submit your video or audio via the Google Form (link's in the FB group).

    5. Top 3 Showdown - My awesome wife and I will watch every submission and pick our top 3 favorites.

    6. Live Finale - We showcase the top 3 on a LIVE YouTube finale! The Hot Breath! viewers vote for the winner.

    • Oh, the good stuff! The winner scores $100 and a featured interview on the Hot Breath! Podcast – But most importantly, the ultimate bragging rights of writing the hottest set in the Hot Breathiverse.

    • Just $25 gets you in the game (or $50 if you want feedback from Joel on your final set)

    • Nope! This contest is all about pushing you to write brand-new clean material. Fresh jokes only! Think of it as a killer comedy workout.
